The company was founded in 1974 as Quantel International,
and adopted the Continuum name in 1990. The next year,
the company became wholly owned subsidiary of HOYA Corporation,
Tokyo. In 2002, Continuum announced the sale of its scientific
division, and changed its name to HOYA ConBio to reflect
its commitment to the biomedical marketplace. That same
year the HOYA ConBio relocated to a new facility designed
to fit the Company's specific needs, and anticipated growth.
With corporate headquarters in Fremont, California, HOYA
ConBio has additional offices in France and Japan and
worldwide international distributors.
